Mac utility · macOS only
Back Space
Back Space copies photos and videos from your iPhone to your Mac, checks that each copy matches the original, and then frees up space on the phone. Nothing is removed from the iPhone until the copy is saved and checked, and you confirm.

Good to know
- Your backups stay on your Mac, in the folder you chose. Each iPhone gets its own folder inside it.
- Back Space checks for updates once a day and tells you when one is available. It never installs anything without you.
- Files that can't be read are logged and skipped, so the backup can carry on.
- To uninstall, drag Back Space from Applications to the Trash. Your backups are not touched.
