Build a living tank the way Takashi Amano did, and keep it in balance.

Experiment lab
Test one change at a time
Real scientists change one thing and keep everything else the same. The lab copies your tank twice: tank A stays as it is (the “control”) and tank B gets one change. Then both live the same weeks. Your real tank isn’t touched.

What happened, and why
About Takashi Amano (1954–2015). A Japanese photographer and aquarist who invented the “Nature Aquarium”: underwater gardens that look like real landscapes and work like tiny ecosystems. The Amano shrimp is named after him — he made it famous as an algae eater. In this game the chemistry is simplified so a week fits in a few seconds, but the cause-and-effect is real.
